Aug 20, 2008 - I checked out Dr. McCardell's story featured on Fox News, but I don't really agree with him, Cindi. The only thing that I think would change about underage drinking is age of the underage drinker. Kids always want to push the envelope on maturity, and lowering the legal age to 18 would just result in more 13 year old drunks. It's a discussion worth having, but I don't think it has a fighting change on the ballots. Thank you for your comment!

Aug 20, 2008 - Franzweezie: I agree with you 100%. My comment was satire. Dr. MaCardell is misguided. He wants the "drinking learners permit" which is a stupid idea. He is a former college president who only thinks of the lawsuits that can be avoided by making the Colleges no longer responsible for deaths or injuries on campus do to alcohol.I grew up in a state when you could buy beer at 18 (everything else at 21). In high school many students left campus at lunch and came back buzzed.
