Dec 5, 2008 - This is a nice break amongst all the horror stories of politics and daily life. :3 At least some people are still heroic in this world, even if they're mostly 7 year-olds.

walk4redress Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - Thats great!

Boomer1949 Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - I agree, a break from all the bad news is more than welcome. A brave little girl to say the least. She kept her head, knew what to do (movies maybe) and did what she knew she had to do, in spite of the possible harm to herself, to save her family..a hero in every since of the word.

Dec 5, 2008 - She kept her wits about her and did what she had to do to save her family...great job and you keep right on looking out for your family, Miss Micah!

RedH0Tmama Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - I'm surprised you have this but not the report on the tasers.....

LouiseFRhodes Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - Out of order, mate. Doesn't matter where they're from, they're people and they're a family. She saved them.

vi67 Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - News report doesn't indicate any info except Micah, age 6, accident point of view. How many vehicles arrived at the accident scene prior to little girl's 911 call? At the scene, was the grandmother, mother, and little child still in upside-down position when 911 arrived? The mother's broken her neck may be due to release from the seatbelt? The little six-year girl faced possible abduction to seek help (which may have arrived prior to her call).Brave/perhaps, naive/definately. Bless her heart!

bleunt Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - So now we award people for saving their own families? OK...

odin422 Says:

Dec 5, 2008 - totally agree. Canada seems to be the taser death capital of the world. They are just aweful! The world knows it! Shame on them!

Amy31415 Says:

Dec 6, 2008 - I'd be more concerned about their lack of shoes.Seriously though, awesome little girl.

Dec 7, 2008 - Boy, her mommy is practically locked-in and won't come home for months. I really don't think a Canadian medal can make up for the trauma. Assurance of coverage under Canada's socialized healthcare system is starting to get there. Of course if it had happened in the States, the mommy and grandmaw could look forward to institutionalizations under medicare, the daddy would win a hospital bill to the poor house while he sues insurance, and the little girl herself would receive a DCFS foster award.
