The Best AMV in YouTubeThis is an anime music video about the hit anime series, called DeathNote.In the anime, a highschool student named Light finds a mysterious Notebook drop out of no where. He picks it up and finds out it's called the DeathNote. First, thinking it's a joke, doesn't really care much about the notebook.However, later on he finds out that the notebook will kill anyone whose name is written on it. He then starts killing off all the criminals of Japan to get rid of evil. But he may just have gone a bit too far..This AMV is made by Sayan Visual StudioThis is what Sayan Visual Studio said about their amv:Originally it was made for the Akross Con 2007. What's left beyond is that the video was made by renewed staff. And is more like the celebration of uniting for creating studio work. It took lot of time and strength (especially mental) to bear with all the difficulties on the way and to complete this project. We can assure you - this AMV was made with 200% effort, it's something we've never experienced before. The unique chance to prove to ourselves and show to the rest what we're capable of. Yes, sure, it could be done better, but we had almost no time to even finish it properly, because of the contest rules. Also the desicion to participate like a studio was made a month before deadline. So, this is the result of the one-month-hard-work. In this video we've tried to create some sort of a game between Ryuk and Light, mind game, to be precise =) It's about Ryuk who's chosen Light to be his next victim. Ryuk tries to gain control over Light's confused soul, tries to supress the will of the victim. What's more important - Light doesn't know if Ryuk is real or it's just his sick imagination, as a result of mind chaos and soul crack... Nov 9, 2008 - Lol I'd like to take back this opinion, Ive watched it a few more times and its grown on me a lot. I can understand the use of the effects now, and its got lots of little details that keep me rewatching it. Id put it equal first with Twilight by Koopiskeva.

Nov 10, 2008 - idk man i think i agree with your first comment. its really quite an amazing amv, but some of it feels like what you said- just effects without content. im not sure if it perfectly captures emotional moments in the anime, but yes it sure looks hella cool and it set a very cool tone- the tone was brilliant-it's definitly AMONG the best but THE best? no,there are about 3-4 that hit people hard because of it's amazing use of content. the effects dont make an amv alone, they strengthen the content

Nov 10, 2008 - I understand what you mean, and thats why other of my fav AMVs are Momentum, Reflections, Revenge, Lifetime and the like, which focus more on the content than this. Downloading the video really made the idea of it click though, as its about the Light/Ryuk relationship and how Light is spiralling out of control, so I think the chaotic effects do actually serve the purpose of showing his madness. Like I said all the little details keep bringing me back to it.

Nov 24, 2008 - It's amazing in terms that it has some of the most insane editing and graphics ever used in an amv before and it looks like it took at the very least the better part of a year, but Scorpions Unlimited's "Whispers of the Beast" used nearly as much graphical insanity and told a much clearer story, a completely original one at that. So please, as much as you might like it, dont add things like "best amv on youtube" just to attract attention to yourself and get people riled.

Nov 24, 2008 - Also, although Koopiskeva has firmly established himself as a graphical wizard, my favorite of his is Momentum an amv that could have been made in imovie, just because of how well it tells a story. It's moving beyond words, and the minimalism conveys the simple feelings of love and loss. So AMVs are more than just effects, even though this videos' are unrel and it still is an excellet work.
