Dec 5, 2008 - I vote NO on the bail out package. IMO companies can file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a reason. So the they can restructure the company to make it profitable again. Let'em die

Dec 5, 2008 - Indeed!

Dec 6, 2008 - i agree man. Every1 at my skool is really for american pride *strong southern pride*...not really into that cause im from chicago but, i do see all them driving ford trucks and american cars mainly..not as efficient as other contries cars. i dont support the bail.

Dec 6, 2008 - General Motors are American right? Did you see the hybrid car they made? Damn, it runs on sea water man, well sorta... Anyway if that comes out in like 15-20 years, I would imagine everyone would buy it immediatly. Sorry to go off the point but whoa you can drive it on both the left & right side! Peace.Eoin.

Dec 6, 2008 - The thing is price. I've read the car is extremely expensive. And if it's GM, the car might still suck, not matter how advanced the technology is.

RipleyisBA Says:

Dec 6, 2008 - I used to live in the south. Never again. I don't understand what they have to be proud of...But yeah, 6 out of ten people oppose the bail out (according to an online CNN poll). So they are definitely in the minority.

Dec 16, 2008 - Oh goodness. You cracked your wrist. *shudders* Not good. Not a good thing.

Dec 19, 2008 - Ford F-Series and Chevy Silverado are the number 1 best selling vehicles at the present time. No one buys american made? Where do you get your information?

RipleyisBA Says:

Dec 20, 2008 - Alright, well if that's the case why do they need a bail out?

jerrylafftime Says:

Dec 21, 2008 - They don't need one because of auto sales, they need one because the unions are squeezing the life out of the profits made by the companies. The UAW has structured their payment plans so that those who are retired still get paid even though they do not work. That is a 100% net loss. Is that right? Would you pay for someone who isn't working? I don't believe so. THAT is the reason Chrysler and GM are in bad shape.

RipleyisBA Says:

Dec 21, 2008 - Yeah, that's true. The unions are squeezing the life out of the car companies, but their sales have been down. Sure they have a few models that do really well, but GM sales dropped 45% recently. Here's a solution: Out source everything! Goddamn Americans are spoiled. Fuck the unions.
