Also screw those people who thought your were implying berserk was copying off naruto when berserk started publishing 7-8 years before naruto. If anything naruto copied berserk which is what i thought you were getting at

Dec 17, 2008 - I doubt it was an intentional copy, more likely a combination of coincidence with the fact that all heroic fiction tends to follow certain general archetypes.Although IIRC before pitching Naruto, Kishimoto attempted to sell a more medieval fantasy type manga that got rejected on the grounds that a couple of other titles, including Berserk, already had the market cornered. So he was at least aware of Berserk back then. Not sure if he really followed it, though.

Dec 20, 2008 - This was the episode that sold the series for me -- I was a Berserk fan, with lots of free time on my hands, so I was probably gonna watch them all anyway. Up 'til this episode I felt like BAS was hit-and-miss. But the dialogue between Guts and Zodd had me rolling. Great voice acting for both characters!And I don't follow Naruto at all, but the fortune telling was priceless. Hearing Zodd say "You're totally gonna get some!" was hilarous!
